Alto Trot
Old picture…….again. This time it’s an old oc of mine :) Some of you have been asking to see some of my regular oc’s so here’s one of them!
Alto Trot is the son of two purebred pegasi (not sure if that’s the appropriate word but oh well). As you probably noticed, this guy’s got no wings. Needless to say, his parents where very shocked. He was seemingly born an earth pony. The family lived in Cloudsdale before he was born, but afterwards, they were forced to live on the ground since he had no wings. It was tough for them since the lived in the sky all their life but they were ready to sacrifice anything for little Alto. However, later on they found out he was rather special. He was not actually an earth pony, but a wingless pegasus. They wouldn’t have known if he didn’t climb onto a cloud one day by accident. His mother brought a raincloud down from the sky to water her garden and Alto hopped on trying to get closer to his mom. He had no problem walking on it at all.
After it was discovered that was the case, he’d get teased a bit. Nothing serious and not necessarily bullying but the words got to him after a while. Being on the ground also saddened him since he felt like he belonged in the sky.
Because he is a pegasus, he is able to manipulate clouds and whatnot. At one point, he was so desperate to go to the sky that when a thick fog came through, he formed his own cloud to get up there. He found that he was able to use clouds like a bodyboard and swim through the air.
He became quite the expert when it came to clouds and how to manipulate them. All that knowledge came from just jumping around on them. He go his cutie mark because of his expertise. Getting it was incredibly important and special for him since it was like her finally got the pair of wings he always wanted.
That’s all I’ve got for this guy. Might develop him more later. As for his character, I’d say he’s pretty softspoken but crazy about adventure. He’s incredibly daring and bold but still a respectful young stallion. Also, this whole thing is headcanon. I’m assuming that pegasi have a sort of magic inside of them that allows them to walk on clouds. It’s not necessarily their wings that give them that ability. So, in Alto’s case, he was just born without his wings (just like some children are born without certain limbs) but still had that pegasi magic
