Standing on her hooves for most of the day Gears was exhausted. Her hindlegs throb constantly, and on occasion spazzed from the a release from a muscle. She pushed her work aside, for the most part it was finish and looking down so place a hoof on her fecund belly. Two heavy foals took residence in her for the past nine plus months. Her doctor said she had at least four more weeks, that was three days ago and it felt like now. Least they had stopped really growing by this point, just spending their time in cramped condition. It had been a long day at her shop by the Ponyville Rail-station. Gears works, and repairs the engines that come through can other smiting, and mechanical needs of Ponyville. And the working dame was out of steam. Tidying up she secured the door to her shop and awkwardly laid down. It was hardly comfortable, but nothing was at this point. She dampened the flames of furnace but let the coals remained and rested her head up-top her hooves, smiling as the heat radiated over her taught girth.
 
Lazily she awoke to a sputtering and a clank-cling and a pair of voice bickering outside. Not bothering to look she recognized them both of being the possible sires to her twins, her beloved Synn, and Dr. Whooves. She just stared at the glowing coals.
