Oh well C’est la vie, feel free to delete it if you wish Mr. Admin.
Oh, I am satisfied alright because:
A. It’s the artist’s milestone, it’s not a given all will be reached but it is people’s money and each individual can donate whatever the hell they want regardless of the rewards.
B. Other people struggle for there art. So? That’s how life is. Some get it better than others and if Blunt here gets more than the usual artist does then good for her, she found a way to work for herself.
C. Yeah, sure is disgusting that a freelance artist that makes most of her money on time consuming private commissions, art portfolios and the like to want a more proactive way to be able to spend time on a fun comic project among other original projects in between that is not only for herself but for the audience as well. While at the same time earning enough to survive. Yeah… That is pathetic… sarcasm
D. Again. It is the choice of the patron’s money. How they want to spend on their hard earn cash is their business. If they want to commit to support BluntWhiskey on her endeavors then by all means. If not then oh well. Either way in the end it is their earnings. Go be a financial advisor if you want to advise other how very well they should spend cash.
E. Uh yeah you’re funding the Twibra comic, among pin ups and other original artwork, says so on the website. Also yes, money is made for bills among others things, can’t always be for CREATING but it can help in paying off stuff in order to still be able to create stuff. What’s the problem again?
F. Yeah so what? Like I said before, the milestones can manipulated whatever the hell the artist wants and if people for that then what’s the problem really?
Really, this is my last post for here too because in the long run, all of this is much ado about nothing at all. :p
Good day and night to you sir~<3
Yeah, no. Maybe try to not go into personal insults, and also maybe consider that for some artists their art is their means of sustenance. Some people are good at making fries, some people are good at doodling.
@Niggoslav_Krawczyk
Sigh.
beautiful derishush drunkwhiskey dramas
recommended fer daily consumption by yer local gramammy!
She has already dealt with much worse users here before so I hardly doubt she is “shaken” by your posts. This was hardly an argument between PoppyCock and you but rather just a much-ado-about-nothing soapbox coming from you.
for the record, I don’t hate Patreon. I’m even now perfectly happy with being a Patreon to an artist on that site.
also, word of advice, don’t welcome me to an argument invitation if you’re this easily shaken, seriously dude, if you’re going to make yourself a figure on the internet, you should consider learning how to deal with people on the internet, you’re very much bound to find worse people than me sooner or later.
>Twibra
Oh. Nevermind.
Enough please, seriously. You’ve made your point. You don’t like Patreon. You think I’m lazy, even though I’m not. Fine. You are entitled to your opinion, but please do not bring unnecessary drama storm..please. It’s like a major headache for everyone.
basically, your counterargument is arguing against a point no one made. That is a very capitalistic mindset indeed..
pretty much this. he has a skill. he’s using it to get money. money that people are giving him.
welcome to capitalism!
bluntwhiskey, I assume, the artist of the patreon and Twibra in general.
Uh, who are you taking about? “He”? “Him”?
that really doesn’t matter, even if that’s pretty much at the heart of the problem. Nothing I or anyone can say or do will change anyone’s mind, unless some friend / relative intervenes and calls the guy donating to some artist they don’t know incredibly stupid usage of money.
which I really don’t blame them for if they do, that is a very poor use of one’s money.
That said, I mostly care about the other artists and just other workers in general out there, the ones who are struggling and dealing with their problems instead of asking for handouts.
I wouldn’t have a problem with his patreon if it was more of a perk income that could help him, as opposed to something that would allow him to work only on his art, aka, pay all his bills.
I see your point and agree it’s unfair.
Sadly, people are sheep and follow the loudest voice.
the 2,500$ / month milestone. 2,500 * 12 months = $30k a year.
May i ask where you’re getting $30k a year from?
here’s the thing, it’s work and it’s fine, but expecting people to pay him money like this seems very lazy and I don’t mean just some small perks, we’re talking a milestone of 30,000$ a year, the regular professional payment of a year’s worth of work. That right there, is bullshit and I hardly believe anyone deserves such a special treatment, especially with those rewards and reasons that seem to imply crying over how hard life is..
well, tough luck, other artists and by other artists I mean most of them, about 99% of them, all of them live off something else that gives them a place to live in, no matter how shitty and some food on the table, not just for them even, maybe food for a family too.
Oh, no, not the raising money thing.
I’d wholly support needy artists if I wasn’t needy myself.
I meant the awfully ridiculous pairing.
How is working on artwork deemed lazy?
probably best to just downvote in this case, begging people for helping in raising enough money to grant some artist a favorable living condition is incredibly lazy, regardless what comics he/she’s promising, or piss poor milestone rewards. (streamed art tutorial.. fucking, lol.)
or, maybe like the picture because of the picture and fuck the proposal, I guess either way works.
Why is it stupid?
