…Which eventually became Sweetie can’t do anything without disastrous results, probably cemented by “Sisterhooves Social”.
It was, but due to the incoherency of this show’s magic, we went for a ‘Sweetie can’t do magic without disasterous results’ joke.
A thought occurred to me last night. Flying fish, flying squirrels, etc, they glide.
I don’t recall Scootaloo ever, in the show itself or even in the comics, trying to glide. Somepony needs to suggest it to her, see if maybe it helps.

You know, I think the thing I really didn’t get about the “Scootaloo can’t fly” stuff is why Sweetie Belle not being able to do magic for the first three seasons wasn’t also a thing.

But yeah, usually when I see Scootachicken used, it’s in a dismissive or belittling sense.
But if it’s the one you prefer, we can go with Chicken of the Sea instead.

Thanks for the clarification. I apologize if I offended you. Also, when I think of Scootachicken, I think of the cuter stuff, like plushies; not its unfortunate implications.
Ah, okay. Though I disagree with your assessment, as the “can’t fly” thing doesn’t necessarily imply that she’ll never fly (though sometimes some people do imply that, which is mean-spirited), but Scootachicken to me seems to imply she’s sort of generally useless, which is, at worst, still less true of her than it is of Sweetie Belle. (I love Sweetie Belle, really I do, but you gotta admit the poor kid’s an accident waiting to happen… Except when she’s an accident in-progress instead.)
I got mixed up. Sorry. I meant the “Scootaloo can’t fly” meme is more mean-spirited than the “Scootachicken” meme. Of course, either has more brains than I. Then again, anything with a brain has more brains than I.
So… The one that’s more mean-spirited is superior? Is that what you’re saying? That being crueler is better?
Bugger off. The ‘Scootaloo can’t fly’ meme is way worse then the ‘Scootachicken’ meme. And is way less mean-spirited as well.
