Yeah Elric, but if you have a huge monitor with a massive display resolution, then even at fullsize this image wouldn’t look that big. The number of pixels in the image is only “absurd” on a low-res display, that’s why I said it’s subjective.
Even Google Image Search lets you search for pics by Megapixel range. I think that (which would totally objective) would be better here. :)

I go by “if it’s bigger than 2500 x 2500”. Maybe I need a bigger monitor.
I’m looking at it relative to the image itself. If you feel it’s normal to zoom in to where you can see each granule of color deposited by the colored pencil or crayon or whatever, cool. But given the nature of the pic, it seemed pretty absurd to me.
Yeah, “absurd res” is highly subjective, and also what’s absurd res now will be MQ (medium quality) in another few years’ time. :)
Perhaps something like 2-4MP, 4-8MP, 8-16MP, 16-32MP, etc;…would be better?
absurd res”Dude, there are 30” computer monitors out there that almost have this resolution. imo, absurd res doesn’t really kick in until at least 4000x4000 or something.
Maybe instead of width and height search options there should also be one for the number of pixels or something, so that we can get rid of this tag…
