Nah. It’s either pre-tumblr events, Rarity’s just flirty/easily infatuated/both (canon seems to support this also) and or maybe she hasn’t fully come to terms with feelings for Applejack yet. Or maybe it’s totally innocent interaction with Trender and AJ’s just jealous cause of before. It still works.
