I’ve actually got the next sketch scanned and ready for coloring since before I finished this one. I did most of the coloring on Fluttershy at the Helsinki pony meetup. Finised the shading and highlighting today.
Fluttershy takes on the role of a Jger (light infantrymare) from a Luftwaffen-Feldkompanie (air force field company). They were organized from support, maintenance and other mostly non-combat personnel when the Luftwaffe started to run out of operable planes. Their training was passable and morale was poor, and Luftwaffe field units were often the first to break in combat. Even if slightly lacking in courage, they could hold their own when suppoted by friendly forces. A little like Flutterhy, except they didn’t have the Stare.

Ah, didn’t realize you were just concentrating on that.
Mmmyeah, but this is a series about the braches of the Wehrmacht, and it’s just the higher-level entities plus Pinkie’s space navy. It would probably have been something like that if the focus was the Infanterie/Schützen/Grenadieren.
