If travelling through the Everfree forest alone is a scary and dangerous experience, then marching an army through its depths is a total nightmare. Feared as one of the most dangerous realms of Equestria, Everfree is filled with swamps, cliffs, and threatening flora and fauna that can wreak havoc on an army passing through, and generally make life unpleasant for any who wish to set up camp in the forest. However, the forest takes up a large chunk of the country, and for the very reasons it is such a nightmare, it is an excellent ambush point, making it ideal for scout forces and guerrilla armies. The most important part of Everfree, however, is the Castle of the Two Sisters, located deep within its confines. This castle has great religious significance to both sides in the conflict, and who knows what secrets such an ancient place may still hold?
