Original description  
“The other works I talked about earlier will be done soon (well relatively soon, if you realize how often I upload works…not), but I’m going to Berlin tomorrow for 5 days so that’s another week lost xD” …quote from a description of a scrap in August.
 
And then I completely forgot about these works for the past few months till now. Why am I even trying to keep an active account anyway =P
 
Anyhow I just made the finish in touch in Photoshop and finally it’s up. (the other one is nearly done as well) I do have a mini story about this little picture, but I have to get up early tomorrow (eh..which is already today with 0:45 on the clock right now). Suppose you will hear about that later, hopefully tomorrow if I feel like it.
 
EDIT: So about that story. I pretty much came up with this setting, basically because I felt like drawing Twilight with a very girly frou frou look and her not being too happy about it xD She literally said in “Sweet and Elite” how she liked the dress that Rarity made for her birthday because it looked so simple and practical (this while the dress was officially not finished). However I could see Rarity still wanting to give Twilight a total make-over, especially after her coronation. So fake eyelashes and mane extensions it is, since the other “pretty pretty” alicorn princesses have long beautiful manes while Twilight still looks so dorky (don’t get me wrong, I love adorkable Twi). Though did Rare watch an episode of Jersey Shore cuz good grief that mane!!  
I never really designed dresses before, especially for ponies so I’m not sure if it really worked out. All I had in mind, was combining the colors of the sky during dusk/dawn aka “Twilight” and Rarity’s special fabric we saw in season 4. The wing eh..holster/appendage?? (someone correct me what the right word is) was Rarity’s idea to make Twilight look even more regal and impressive, what a ruler is suppose to be like. Twilight on the other hand isn’t too happy about it, not only because she doesn’t like to stand in the spotlight, but also simply because it feels very uncomfortable. It will keep her wings up the whole time and by the end of the whole event, causing a pretty aching sensation. But what the heck, according to Rarity with big chic events, fashion has the utmost priority.
 
And what about the title? Well we all know what a certain blue pegasus pony likes to nickname the purple one. I figured Dash would make a comment about with whom Rarity is standing next to as a joke ;)
 
Though I’m quiet happy about the colorization of this work, there are however things that look off. Mostly the mouths/muzzles of the ponies look not right and their legs are a bit uncanny as well. I could tell you that the original sketch and first color layers were already done quite some time ago. I decided to finish it anyway, as a learning experience, mostly for colorization. Indeed I’m still not completely comfortable with drawing equines, but hey you gotta start somewhere! :)

That’s a hairstyle that screams “Jersey Shore.”
