Oh this is a shipping? I though Luna kidnapped Pip to become a mother and Celestia told her to bring him back to his parents and stuff. Well I wasn’t expecting that for sure.

Considering how Luna is practically Goddess-Princess, and that it was likely that certain social restrictions hadn’t been invented a thousand years ago, Luna isn’t exactly a bad person for wanting to be close to Pip, who is likely the first pony to look at her as a friend. Then again,the “love” she speaks of may not have the lascivious undertones that we, the audience imagine.

Oh, Ok. I see how it is. Celestia gets to perform all sorts of sexually deviant acts but as soon as Luna does it’s all “Nooo Luna”, “Put that foal down Luna”, “That doesn’t belong in there Luna”.
