Well said man! This may have been seven years ago, but it fills my heart with joy to see such a passion filled paragraph.

Being “normal” doesn’t earn a pony any popularity. You don’t get a fan nickname, personal fanon and your own fanart and fiction by being “normal”.
 
You gotta stand out from the crowd! Sit funny when people are watching, change your voice from time to time, overreact to everyday things, style your mane to look like an actor from a cult series, or dress and act like a famous celebrity. Or you can make funny expressions in the background and pop up unexpectedly in the background.
 
Normal? Can you name a single pony who is normal? No! because no one cares enough about them to give them a name to start with!

Fuck normality!

If you ask me, “normal” is a word used by people to try and make themselves feel more sane by making others feel less sane. In other words to say you’re “normal” is to completely ignore the fact that there is no “normal,” only things more or less similar to your average perception of what another human being should be like.

If you can’t be normal, then just be yourself. It’s a lot better, IMO.
