I can understand where you’re coming from. A lot of people seem to hold on to the stereotype that being from a rural area means you’re stupid and racist. It was just a joke here, but some people really believe it! It really is stupid to think that being from the city automatically makes you an all around finer person.
Those kind of jokes rub me the wrong way at times because of my rural background.
I’m not sure if southeastern Ohio counts as “Southern” though, so I can’t really vouch for those guys.
And the apples appear to be “southern” compared to the other ponies. Country folk, if you will.
Still, why is she surprised by that? The only thing lighter than yellow is white. This should be ubiquitous.
