This is a tribute to the Jesus and Mary of the cartoon world.  
Princess Celestia, who was once called “Queen” (as in “Queen Celestia” or “Queen of Heaven”) has the Fleur-de-Lys on her shoes and throneroom.  
She was prophesied in the Vulgate rendering of Genesis;
