the commission tab at the top of every page exists for a reason.
||”but i dont have any money!!” then don’t expect anyone to bother drawing for you. pay artists what they deserve. ||

Nice edit. And also I have already gotten a request granted… so clearly not everyone thinks that way.

my post has no edits lmao. if it was edited then it would say so near the timestamp. sorry you can’t read.
honestly ask yourself the following: why should a person who doesn’t even know you give you free art, which requires lots of time/effort? especially good nsfw art, which requires more detail then sfw. yeah you might have gotten a request accepted before, but was it really as good as you know, paying an artist to make something that looks good??

Because there are plenty of reasons an artist would take requests even from strangers…
For instance, there are budding artists out there who are still trying to develop their art and take requests from various people as a way of trying out different styles in order to increase their artistic range. Sometimes drawing other people’s characters can help artists become accustomed to the practice of dealing with clients so it can help them get used to the business in the future. It’s good for networking too.
Then there are those who draw simply for fun and are willing to draw other people’s characters for the hell of it. Yes, these people do exist. These are artists who may simply want to keep their art as a hobby rather than a career. I’ve heard of at least a few artists who even refuse to draw commissions because they don’t want to turn their art into a job, fearing they’ll lose their passion for it. Such a thing happened to one artist I know (my ex-girlfriend).
And then you have artists who do requests during streams, contests and raffles. They do this for the benefit of gaining more followers to their streams and art pages which in turn gives them more visibility. More visibility can mean more customers down the road.
People like me and Toxic Charm are basically asking around for artists who want to develop their talents for extra experience, are willing to do it for fun, or are hosting streams for more attention. Money isn’t always the reason an art piece gets made for someone else.
