Depends on the stats of the token and what mode it’s summoned in. If it’s weak and in attack mode (or your opponent has any sort of piercing damage), you can easily throw the game with this card.

I haven’t seen this week’s episode, but Discord has been shown repeatedly to be pretty damn sadistic. If [insert random act of dickishness here] doesn’t have negative consequences for him (at least none that he can think of at the time), it’s a safe bet he does it intentionally, for the yuks.

No, he really hasn’t gotten better at all. Pretty much every script with Discord in it can be summed up as “Discord spends the entire episode being a complete asshole only to have it blow up in his face in the final reel.”

The Sisters of Battle are a case of large-scale loophole abuse. After a coup d’état by a corrupt religious figure was rooted out, the Ecclesiarchy was specifically banned from ever having “men under arms”. So technically they shouldn’t have any armed forces at all, but the Sororitas are given a pass because they were instrumental in stopping the aforementioned coup.

And again, the Inquisition IS the law. Even if they weren’t, the law of the Imperium states in no uncertain terms that heresy and corruption must be destroyed, regardless of cost. The only criminals in this scenario were the Space Wolves, who intentionally let a known source of corruption scatter itself all over the quadrant.

“Law and morality are inflexible”? Bullshit. If that were the case, you would still be able to get yourself a wife by raping some girl and paying her father a fistful of coins. Laws are written and changed by the leaders of a society based on the morals they hold dear - morals which are as individual as the folks holding them.
 
To paraphrase your own words, consider the nature of the universe. The Inquisition IS the law. They are charged with keeping the Imperium - ergo the human race - from falling apart against attacks from within, without, and beyond. They’ve succeeded for the past ten thousand years ONLY because they have the balls to employ tactics like the one you’re whining about. Mercy is not an option in the 40K universe.
