I thought that G3 and 3.5, from what I’ve seen of them, were just harmless fluff. Not particularly good, but enjoyable enough.
 
Newborn Cuties, on the other hand, was utter garbage, and even the most diehard defenders of previous MLP generations won’t defend THAT trainwreck.
