I find the community to be shit on average but very stratified. So I inhabit the higher tiers (yea I know how up my own ass that sounds) but not so high where the game becomes a job

well, it was fun while it lasted at least. The game had a really cool community.

didn’t mind that, for a time period anyway, it was actually the most fun I’ve had from the game just being part of a guild for a very long time. Idk, just seemed to me like WotLK shifted into an asshole center and it was the first expansion to make things easier which really didn’t help with people expecting all the loot..

it’s nothing too bad to check out, you might find it pretty neat. It’s mostly a pvp montage with some commentary on the rogues from pre bc, but to prove it the rogue always wore level 1 daggers and PvP-ed naked with fully stacked classes in epic gear

I have to admit I wonder how many people hate me and how I joke around on the site. I see so many people just getting angry over something, be it the show, tumblr, or something else, and I just don’t want to do that (for the most part). So I tend to joke about in a sort of personal retaliation against it, and cause being silly and joking around is just plain fun.
 
but I can’t but sometimes feel people are seething and thinking “its this fucker again” when I show up in the comments.
 
basically I sometimes feel out of place here when I try to play around.
 
aaaaand that’s the end of my self pity post. just wanted to get that out.

I have to echo the other sentiments where I say that I don’t hate ya either. To be honest, I think most of the hate comes from mob mentality where everyone wants to jump on the “let’s like/hate” this particular thing. When the train starts to slow down, they jump off and search for the next train to hitch a ride on.

Well, I feel like a-hole/misogynist as of late. With that revelation about the new Ghost Buster film being an all female cast, I felt kinda miffed at it. I wasn’t outright angry to the point I wanted to rant/rave about it. At the same time however, as mentioned, I feel annoyed by notion of it. If they added in one or two females to balance things out, sure, go for it. I have no problem with adding in females. Now pulling all the guys just so you can do an all female cast, no way.
 
Anymore, I feel like I’m just the monster social media portrays the “cis white male” to be when I see news media about “switching” things up. The change of Thor to a female was another example. If they did an African American male, I have no problem because it’s a male. Norse Mythology has always portrayed Thor as male. I know the legend/thing behind thor in the book usually states that whoever is worth to wield Thor’s hammer shall be granted the right to do so, etc….
 
Again, I’m not angry at the thought of Thor being a woman for the comics, I just don’t see the point in it/don’t understand why. I guess it’s just the mainstream event right now, and it’s the proper thing to do when you want to garner more fans since fans = revenue.

It’s okay, I dislike the concept of having an All-Female cast for the sake of having an All-female cast as well. (That doesn’t mean that I’m a misogynist, I just don’t like it when they shoehorn in women just to be politically correct.)

same here. Didn’t know about either of these, but they sound, well, petty.. maybe I am judging something that hasn’t been released, true, but just the idea of making all the cast just females is already kinda bleh..
 
but hey, at least Murray recommended this idea as well as two of the main actresses, maybe it’s not going to be or sound any bit as awkward as we’re thinking with the whole ‘girl power’ aspect? Then again, I think a lot of people are going to be put off by the lack of the original cast.

I have no problem with strong female roles. It may be cliche to point to her, but I loved Weaver’s role as Ripley in the Alien franchise. This move to change Thor into a woman just seems to be… ehh, “of the times” I guess.
