I find interesting how people either despise XXXTentacion, or view him as this generation’s Tupac.
 
When I look at the ratings for him on RateYourMusic, it’s mostly 2.00 or lower. While on Youtube a lot of people seem to think of him as a literal rap demi-god.

Back then before XXX death almost everyone hated his music or it just was considered bad.
 
I’m cool with him and I think people see him as a 2Pac because he was changing his music to something more positive.
 
It literally doesn’t make sense.

I can’t say I’m really too fond of him. His music was pretty shit to say the least.
 
While his death certainly increased the polarization, he was always the kind of artist you either loved or hated.

I only liked some of his work and that’s it. I still remember when people didn’t care that much about his songs. And of course there was “Look At Me” which was used as a song for memes and earrape.
 
But after he was murdered some ghost-fans started to jump outta no where claiming he was the modern 2Pac.

Although, i noticed that there, a lot of modern stuff, especially pop, tends to get absurdly low ratings.

I saw it and good review. Prog Rock is an okay genre, but that album and Rush might make me have second thought on it.

Mainstream modern stuff tends to, not modern stuff in general though. There’s plenty of modern albums that people on there like.

I’ve got an idea in my head for a death metal band of my own…
 
Think basically a bunch of Kreator, Sacred Reich, and Death riffs played in c tuning with baritone growling vocals over them.
 
And I’d write the most gory, grotesque, sadistic, misanthropic lyrics possible, because that’s just the kind of thing I’ve been into lately… don’t judge me. =o
 
And I’d want to put heavy emphasis on the bass lines.

A store owner in Indonesia was arrested because he was selling a shirt that had the cover for their live album album that was recorded in East Berlin in 1990.  
 
Having a hammer and sickle on the shirt was enough for it to get interpreted as communist propaganda which is illegal in Indonesia. So much for right wing scumbags being “pro-free speech”
