Episode 26 was awesome. I can’t wait to see Stardust Crusaders properly animated.
 
Manga-wise, I’m getting close to the end of Part 6. It had a slow start, but got better as it went along.

I need some help. Now that the anime is taking a break, I want to start reading the manga, but I’m not sure where to start. If I start form Stardust Crusaders, it would take too long to catch up, and the next season of the anime would be completely spoiled to me, so I was thinking of starting from Steel Ball Run, since I heard it’s set in an alternate timeline.
 
Any suggestion?

I’d personally read part 3 first given that it sets the tone for the rest of the series.
 
Although if you really want to wait, then go ahead and read SBR.

Changing the lamp. Very excitedly.

The TV broadcast blacks out any offensive things. Stuff like mutilated bodies is darkened and exposed flesh is replaced by this weird red-orange pattern thing.
 
The Blu-Ray release removes those and touches up the animation details.

Yeah but it’s really inconsistent sometimes…  
Like when Straits was gibbed, the remains were censored…  
The same thing didn’t happen with Santana though…
