For context, my husband and I have a dm rule that if you nat 1 an attack, you roll to hit an ally within range (otherwise drop your weapon)

Sibbim (Rogue): rolls a nat 1 Oh no

My husband (DM): roll that attack again.

Sibbim: rolls a 25 Well at least I can hit something. Sorry Pearl.

Pearl (cleric): Why

Sibbim: Listen! I’m doing my best to keep you alive here!

Pearl: Oh yeah, I’m sure you just stab all the ladies.

Me, ooc: Well if he likes them enough…

Gray Morals

Context: My Undying Warlock had just been Disintigrated by our new bbeg. Thanks to his patron, he was able to come back as a revenant, with the caveat that he was now completely undead and must consume souls to live longer until he met his goal. Before he faced the whole party, my Warlock first singled out the Wizard.

Warlock: [Wizard], you are my best friend and by far the most morally gray person in this party, so I trust with this.

Warlock: I will die again within the next week unless we find the Lady and take her soul. I can live longer, but that requires me to sustain myself in the, uh, the lich way-

Wizard: Do you have a phylactery?

Warlock: What? No, I don’t think-

Wizard: Here.

(digs through Bag of Holding and pulls out a small phylactery)

Warlock: Why do you- ??

Wizard: You said morally gray, right? Just go with it.
