WH’s new plan to combat Covid is to…not combat it. Specifically they’re now planning to rely on herd immunity.
 
Not only is it bad enough that their plan is effectively not having a plan but lets run some numbers. The standard for herd immunity for most diseases is 80% of the population getting infected, so as to act as human shields for the remaining 20% to never get infected. Covid has about a 3% death rate in America. America has about 330 million people.
 
So the Trump administration now wants 264 million to get sick, and then is expecting almost 8 million to just die. Just sacrifice themselves for the good of the rest of us. Like what the ancient Aztecs did, but for even dumber reasons.
 
All I can think of to that is, remember when swine flu only got 61 million Americans sick? And only 13,000 died from it? Remember when Trump was bragging about how the numbers said if he did nothing then “only” 2 million would’ve died from Covid? Good times.

Look like the SJC is getting ready to subpoena Jack for Twitter’s blocking of links to the NY Post’s article about Hunter Biden. They need to add Zuck to that also because Facebook is doing the same thing, and I think both sites are trying to interfere in the election.

Trying to mandate that social media facilitate the spread of misinformation is certainly a much more productive use of time than working on a covid relief package.

Mitch McConnell says he will block any compromise relief bill if brought to the Senate.
 
Basically the WH and the House of Representatives are butting heads on whether to pass a $1.8 trillion relief bill or a $2.2 trillion relief bill. The expected bill to come out of all this is projected to be somewhere between those 2 numbers. McConnell gets off on blocking bills, so he’s saying ahead of the time he’ll block the still hypothetical bill despite it being Republican backed simply because it would also be Democrat backed.
 
This jackass is taking tax dollars to not do his job.

I don’t know much about gun control or politics as a whole.
 
I just look at how many shootings have happened in the past few years and conclude that the current gun control laws aren’t working.

Both Trump and Biden are having simultaneous town halls right now in place of the debate Trump chickened out of.

So, Trump confirmed he’s in debt, “doesn’t know” to who, confirmed (by omission) that he didn’t get tested before the debate, and not only refused to condemn qanon, but outright lauded them. Oh, and the FBI is looking into Rudy for being a pawn to foreign interference they were expecting since last month with “Hunter’s emails”.

I can totally understand why you feel this way. In fact, from my observations, most people that I’ve seen who aren’t conservative or right-wing don’t seem to know or remember that the Chinese national government is chiefly and solely responsible for the virus, because they deliberately covered up news of the virus in the first 4-6 critical weeks of its existence, thus allowing the disease to spread beyond its borders into other countries and, eventually throughout the entire world, like an out-of-control wildfire.
 
This is a fact that should be remembered just as much as the Trump administration’s relatively piss-poor handling of the virus in the United States, which is where I’m from, and is where I live in.

What’s the reason that the majority of racism originates from rich or well off males?
 
Why is that oddly the main ingredient in what creates division?

Look, obviously I don’t read detailed papers on the psychology of bigots but it’s my own two cents that discrimination tends to be created by the wealthiest individuals more often than by other less wealthy classes.
