Comet (G5) thread!

I’ve decided to start the thread for the new G5 dude, the auroricorn, Comet!

What do you think of him?
And now that he’s followed the main cast, do you think is he going to be part of the main group, or as a periphery sort of friend in the way Starlight Glimmer was?

Cute dude absolutely confirmed!

With how much hype surrounding him there already is, he could very well end up becoming another member of the main cast. I really do like him and even I’m surprised by how much fans are already loving him, I’m legitimately getting callbacks to when I was first seeing the Misty hype.

He’s an absolutly adorkable stud!

He’s already Doc Anubis’ new favorite character and the favorite of G5 fans who are saying they’ve already fallen in love with him.

He’s definitely endeared himself to me, anyway! And I bet moreso the more I see him.

Just found this too.

Right now I’m going to say he’s going to be a periphery friend.

My main reasons is that I feel they’re wanting to have a new Mane Six (plus dragon) in G5 and with Misty joining them the group is “complete”. We now have two of each pony tribe again with each of them having a different coat color.

Comet would be the third Unicorn (albeit technically a different type of unicorn), the second blue pony and the second male character (and sadly I can’t imagine the group having more than one token male).

That said, that’s just me assuming them sticking to the “Mane 6” concept. There’s no reason they can’t add another blue pony, another unicorn or another male to the group. In fact it would be a nice surprise and I’m not against it.

Edit: I also do wonder where he’s going to live. Is he going to stay in the Brighthouse, with Hitch or someplace else.
