Artist tag and artist link

Hello, I’m new to this site and I’m having trouble with the artist link. I want to make an artist link for my content so I can get a artist badge but I’m not sure how to get a tag to put in so I can submit the link.  
I know it says put artist: then your name but whenever I do so it says the tag needs to exist, and I’m rather confused on how to make that tag exist, if that makes sense. I apologize for the inconvenience Im just a little confused and need help.

First, the site needs to have a piece of your art tagged with your artist “tag” - the “artist:?” Where ? Is what you what you would like your artist name to be on this site.

If it is, what would you prefer your artist tag to be? Would “artist:Succmyfruitloop” be ok?

All set - we need to click things manually behind the scenes to get it completed. I’ve added the derpibooru exclusive tag to your art since it seems this is where you’re uploading it first.

Hello. Everything has already been explained here, as I understand it, however … Can I clarify?
First I need to upload the art and write “artist: …” in the tags, and then go to the profile in the “request artist link” and write the same tag there, right?
I’m sorry, I wouldn’t have asked, but I didn’t find a way to delete something here, so… I’m a little worried

Done. They are hidden so only you and staff can see them. This way your rights are retained and you can still report your own works without having to be re-verified.

Hello. My art is only on Derpi, and I don’t plan on using any other websites. The issue is that I seem to require a link to verify my account with an artist tag. Is there a way to go around that?

You’re all set. I made the link point to your tag rather than your profile, as profile names are user editable.
