So here’s an interesting ponder I had: what if Blue Diamond, with her immense grief and self-loathing, got into a relationship with a human. A toxic one. One where he routinely belittles and degrades her, mocks her weakness and her stupidity, dangles brief and fleeting moments of love and kindness just so she believes there is good in him and imperfection in her. Reveal how diamonds are frail, easily shattered and broken, and that diamond is probably the weakest gem in all the universe, and that only in serving him can she find true strength…and true love. All of this so she will do whatever he says, without debate or question, so he can use her legitimate power to conquer Earth…and perhaps, one day, all the Universe.

I could see someone trying it, and Blue Diamond destroying him. Or telling blue pearl to do it because he’s beneath her. Maybe a comic where the punchline is that Yellow Diamond has a protective, big sister-y side. But Blue Diamond going along with it? I don’t know, I feel like she’d go to “How dare you speak to me that way!?” long before letting it become any sort of relationship.
