Well, they said you were slow. But since you were new to the job, the only two options would be: 1. You couldn’t keep up because the orders were piling up, 2. You were still trying to get used to the rhythm or 3. People there are just generally faster than average fast food employees.
 
The third one is about standards so it’d be really bullshit of them to use it as an excuse. The second one is somewhat understandable and frustrating. While the first is shouldn’t be an excuse at all, which makes it ever more likely.
