I am honestly kind of annoyed at all the people whining about Mario Rabbids solely because it’s not a new Metroid game.
 
That said, I do really hope we get another, PROPER Metroid game soon. Federation Force honestly wasn’t a bad concept, but it REALLY shouldn’t have had the Metroid label. In fact, I honestly kind of wonder if it was another one of those “started as an original IP that had an established IP name slapped onto it later in development” things.

As good as the Prime trilogy is it just felt odd to be an FPS.

Ya it seems it’s meant to set up Prime 4, if that is indeed what is coming.

Possibly.  
I would love for the next game to be like the first Prime, isolation, with lots of exploration, but with a mix of Story like Prime 2, only without the mixed gameplay changes it brought.  
Oh, and a 3D Metroid in HD would be amazing. Prime 1 on the gamecube was a beautiful game. It would be nice to see it take advantage of the Switch’s Hardware.  
But I would also hope to see it run at 60 fps.

Warframe got a new rapier, the Endura.
