This is perhaps the first truly global world war. This is not a war for territory, ideologies or supremacy. This is a war to fight for every fragile human life. And the fighters, the heroes, are all around you. This piece celebrates those who are carrying us on their backs through this battle, keeping the frontlines supplied, the lifelines and lifeblood of the resistance. This one’s for the drivers, the transporters, the cleaners, domestics and janitors, and the retail workers who are going out there, braving the virus to keep the world going just one more day.
