Sadly, you have a point. That possibility also makes you feel real bad for Tiara too, as she seems to much prefer her Dad (looking back at “Family Appreciation Day” she flat-out adored him) over her overbearing snobby mother.

Was thinkin’ exactly the same. We already know DT’s talent is knowing exactly how to get ponies to do what she wants - of course she knew bringing Filthy into it would stick her mom in between a rock and a hard place, no way out except to deliver the letter.

Headcanon: DT is daddy’s little girl. The reason Spoiled Rich backed off all worried when DT gave her the note for her father was because Spoiled knew DT could get Filthy on her side if it came to a ‘I said, she said’ situation with him. Her cutie mark is about getting ponies to do her bidding, whether she’s nice or not, after all. x)

Before Lost Mark he had to deal with two brats.  
After Lost Mark he now has to deal with wife and his daughter trying to tell each other what to do.
