Gosh, yes. So adorable throughout that whole episode. xD
I just hope she keeps some of her attitude in the future. I pity any villain who crosses her path. Give her a group willing to follow her into battle, and dang, you might end up with a general the likes of that famous strategist from the Dynasty Warrior games. xD

Agreed, I actually thought she was a bit nicer to the CMC in “Twilight Time,” considering she and Spoon were trying to make them more popular, and invited them to her pool party.

Considering, the new episode, maybe there was a small side to Tiara where she almost genuinely wanted to be friends with the CMC, but her mother convinced her she couldn’t be friends with “lower” ponies. Which would be an interesting, considering she even admitted to being a li’l jealous of them too.

I got to say Tiara was absolutely adorable during her sad song.

Cutie Mark Crusaders. Ponyville Confidential. Family Appreciation Day. One Bad Apple. Flight to the Finish. Twilight Time. Crusaders of the Lost Mark.

Counting background appearances like Pacifica being a bitch at the pool, which counts, yeah. I don’t see what you’re problem is.

Diamond Tiara was NICER to the CMC by Ponyville Confidential, complimenting them and praising them on how they were so good they might even get their cutie marks in journalism. She even was trusting enough in the CMC NOT to check that folder at the end. Say what you will, her problem this episode was no one seeing her vision and getting upset that her star columnists were leaving her high and dry.

Family Appreciation Day Diamond acted like any kid who sees anyone acting and looking strange reacts. She was hoping Granny would embarrass AB at class. Got shown up by a great story even she gawked at and submitted to staying quiet in her little corner with her head down… UNTIL Apple Bloom seeing Silver having enjoyed the story felt she had an opening for rubbing the whole Diamond owes her wealth to her family bit and putting her in a corner.

One Bad Apple Diamond Tiara hung out with a blank flank who she didn’t know had a history of being picked on and just thought she was cool just because she came from Manehattan, it was solely on Babs’ own fault she chose to Diamond and Silver’s side. The rest was all Babs Seed throwing and taking over clubhouses. Babs did a lot to try and make her new friends laugh at her own cousin’s and friends’ expense. Diamond hung out with a blank flank for all of 3 whole weeks. Diamond came to see her friend off who saw the CMC there and went into obvious “can’t show being sad” mode, by just throwing a small backhanded comment of being stuck with just the Crusaders now that Babs is leaving.

Babs does a faceheel turn seeing how very capable of murder the CMC are when pissed. And Diamond was ready to throw down until Babs threatened to tell Diamond’s mom.

Think about that. Diamond was ready to throw down with Babs and only backed down because her mom would find out she hung out with some lowlife blank flank. As her mom would say. Course, we never knew then her mom would be that way, but it’s there.

Twilight Time. Diamond sees how much fun and the stuff the CMC were learning from Twilight. The CMC didn’t have to let her and Silver join in. For letting her and Sil in she tries to pay them back with popularity. Diamond doesn’t seem to know any other way to make amends with the CMC than through money or fame it seems. To show she’s sincere, even if she had alterior motives she still very much wanted to be their friends and being invited to her pool and the anger she felt of being betrayed for having all her generosity back in her face. Even pointed out, which she didn’t have to, the way they took favors for granted from the OTHER foals.

Sorry, tell me again how Pacifica was less of a bitch and how? The only episode that went to extremes and we haven’t seen much of that level of meanness till this latest redemption quickfix episode was Flight to the Finish where she was desperate to win the flag carrying competition, given the context used in the song of Pony I Wanna Be, she brings up those moments. She was desperate to win at all costs, and now we’re given context as to why that was.

TL;DR: Diamond and Pacifica have nearly the same amount of screen time and episodes despite “how many seasons” each show has. Your argument is invalid.

P.S. Gravity Falls just happened to have cared enough sooner to resolve things with Pacifica than MLP where you’re stuck with trying to keep the CMC relevant, and Diamond Tiara was the pony who kept them pushing themselves to becoming better ponies through overcoming adversaries and made their friendships blossom even more so because of those events.

The “zero hint” thing is pretty debatable given that people throughout the fandom have suspected this about her for years. There have been occasional hints dropped, primarily in the Friends Forever comic focusing on Diamond and Silver, but also in some of Diamond’s earlier behavior on the show, which matches up well with real kids in this sort of situation; the bullying is less about hurting others and more about building herself up so she meets others’ expectations.

But even if that all went over your head, there’s still cause to celebrate in turning a character who was often written one dimensionally into a pony with some real depth.

If anything, this is the only episode where DT’s characterization wasn’t lazy, and even that’s debatable as these guys picked up a scent.

…not to mention her mother totally eclipsed all of DT’s previous lows with what is probably the closest thing to child abuse we will ever see in the show and cornered her into the behavior she has exhibited, or at she did in this particular episode (but c’mon, they were clearly implying that this has always been the case).

THANK you! The only two things they have in common is social standing and bitchy mothers. DT’s father isn’t even an asshole! Pacifica’s is a fucking monster who conditioned bet like an animal to obey a bell! Jesus.

@RandomRedneck
A mother not seen in the entire series till now and only mentioned once, by Babs, as a general threat. Guess Silver Spoon’s mom must be a bitch too.

That would be because DT wasn’t good until this episode. Existential crises caused by your only friend leaving your can cause pretty big character shifts, especially in children.

Oh, please. Pacifica was a bitch for 3 episodes, showed a little niceness in her 4th while still being kinda bitchy but not as, and was redeemed in her fifth.

Diamond Tiara was a straight bitch for 5 seasons, with zero hint of ever being good.

Don’t compare that schlock episode to a good show like GF.
