Look near the roof in the first frame. Battlement patterns near the roof. Considering the size of Canterlot Castle, I wonder if that’s an aesthetic there.
Dunno. What I do know is that, as an adolescent, Shining liked ant farms, played with dolls, and he collected comic books. Since Twilight was trying to make this blast from the past authentic, sharing a bed with a smoking hot babe would have been out of flavor. :P
