There is even plenty of similar facial expressions that could be labeled in the MLP show itself.
For example Pinkie Pie has made A LOT of faces that could be taken ‘out of context’ and labeled as ‘ahegao’ (banged silly, not using the f word here).
Just one example is the scene where she licks her mouth wet thinking about food in the “Mare Do Well” episode, at the end when they all talk to RD.
Another such face was made just recently as well, it includes her eyes rolled up and unfocused in her head, while having the mouth open, her tongue hanging out as well, and dripping drool (which can be easily interpreted as saliva) from her open mouth, but at the same time has a broad grin.
But yet again she was just thinking about baked goods, still it’s directly in an episode.
To be able and label a facial expression with “ahegao” (Japanese term for: banged silly), all you practically need are those criteria:
There are tons of cartoons out there, meant for children, that feature such expressions fulfilling the above mentioned citeria.
BUT here is the catch, one could simply label those expressions as ‘ahegao’, tough a CHILD would never interpret them in connection with any sexual facial expressions such as ahegao, lest they have learned about it, the term itself, from someone, or somewhere, and know explicitly the direct connection to it in the matters of coitus, or masturbation.
That is exactly why you either may, or may not, label this picture here with ‘ahegao’, as well as put it as ‘questionable’ or not.
It simply depends on who interprets this picture, at what age they are and how far there experiences goes in the matter of coitus, or maybe hentai.
There is a certain test with some ink splotches on a piece of paper.
Grown ups, see in this fused splotch a woman and a man making love.
Children see in this picture 2 dolphins playing with each other (in innocent ways of course).
And this is how your age and experience influences your perception.
If you judge things by that question, then a huge number of things in the questionable, and even the explicit tag would suddenly be marked as “safe”. It’s really pretty amazing how much borderline explicit-but-not-really stuff there is that’ll go way over kid’s heads just because they don’t have the context to put two and two together, or the hormonal neurochemical balance to care much either way.
I’m judging this from parts of my own childhood in retrospect, and from peeking back at some of the cartoons I saw as a kid. There was an amazing amount of stuff I just didn’t pick up on that probably clearly counts as explicit from these rules.
You either have to choose to rigidly enforce rules that don’t necessarily make sense, or be fast and loose, and only follow rules for the sake of organization, and put in some kind of default age limit to seeing things on the site to filter out the innocence liabilities (kids).
That said, marking this suggestive might not be a bad call. I tend to just ask “Would this scar or at least severely confuse the show’s original audience if she saw it?” And this definitely would raise some eyebrows.
In this image there is, tears, drool, and snot. None of which are bodily fluids that would require an explicit tag. Maybe a questionable sure, but not explicit.
Fluid: anything that flows, including gases and liquids.
Bodily: in this case meaning that it originates from insides a body.
