To be fair, the main thing we learn about them canonically is that they are BFFs and that Bon Bon (actually Sweetie Drops) was a secret agent and monster hunter. I’ve noticed most people tend to mix the old fanon with the canon aspects (as I do), especially since we don’t learn much else about them (I’m sure the secret agent thing was mainly a fun way of explaining the Bon Bon/Sweetie Drops naming problem).
 
Personally, I think there’s been quite a lot of art from Slice of Life about Lyra and Bon Bon, plus there’s no doubt plenty of fanfiction. There’s even a bit of music about it too (whether its sampled from the episode or actually made in reference to it).
 
Don’t forget that there tends to be a big splurge of fan content - including art - right after an episode comes out (think of Princess Ember after her debut). After a week or so it sort of peters out, so you won’t see as much of a particular topic now as much as when the episode came out (unless it’s something ridiculously popular, such as Princess Ember again).

Those have always been the character traits we have given Lyra and Bon-Bon. I’m surprised that I haven’t seen much fan content related to what we were given about them from Slice of Life though.

She seems serious and conservative, whereas Lyra is more childish. Not that its a bad thing, but Bon Bon has often been portrayed as the serious one in most fiction.

I wonder what Bon Bon’s reaction would be like if Lyra passed gas instead of burping.
