Well those two cities fell more to being…stupid. The first one might have worked, if the king was more of a figurehead or just trusted the other guy. The reader isn’t shown, so we don’t know. The second king was an absolute idiot.
 
So it seems Chrysalis can win, if she’s up against idiots. The problem with Chrysalis is that she loves to make up her plans on the fly and falls into the same traps. She’s overconfident, never sees her own flaws, and if one plan doesn’t work, instead of fixing it, she goes with another.
 
I like to think of her as the Dr. Doofensmirtz of Equestria, except she’s more of a jerk then he was.

Well…she did cause the destruction of at least 2 pony cities, devouring the inhabitants…she gets a few good hits in, now and again ;D  
Don’t forget that kitten community they drained!

You know, it’s actually kind of sad. This was the first time she had ‘won’ in hundreds of years, perhaps over a thousand, and she wasn’t even the one who planned it out or took out the heavy hitters. She’s pretty much riding on Hope’s plan and Sombra’s power and just taking credit for it…She needs a hug.
 
Though…it would be hilarious if she’s one of those kind of characters that suck at being evil, great at being good but take a long time to figure that out. That’s pretty much how I see her.

Is Sombra like Graviton from Avenger’s, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes or something?

…damn. This is EPIC! I actually still need to read this comic. Might just wait and read it someday after the full arc is done/out.

I like that Sombra doesn’t even let Luna and Celestia get a word in edge-wise, he just IMMEDIATELY starts attacking. Fits the Dangerously Genre Savy nature he displayed back in the Season 3 opener.
