“Forced” is generally reserved when a crack pairing becomes so overwhelmingly popular in the fandom that it brute-forces its way onto the show. These two actually showed signs they were attracted to each other, and if you’re going to find writers writing “forced,” basically every plot development falls under that category.

In fact, Applejack and Pinkie Pie are only related by virtue of a marriage. They are related through an ancient cousin of Applejack’s marrying an ancient cousin of Pinkie Pie’s. In other words, Applesauce had a sister or brother and that sister or brother had children that led to Applejack. Meanwhile, Applesauce’s spouse had a brother or sister who’s children led to Pinkie Pie.

It doesn’t work that way. Incest is something you could say about close cousins. In their example the genetic pool is so vast and different they are not considered related more than we are. Because all people are, we have a common ancestors after all.
They’re marginally more related then an ethnic group in their home country
