I’m not crazy about the g1 character designs, but that’s pretty cute.

I genuinely enjoyed some of the characters, namely Lancer,Sweetheart,Patch and to a slightly lesser extent Teddy and Brighteyes. The show itself, as I said on another picture, is this weird time capsule of the late 80s and early 90s as are a lot of shows that came out around and ended within that time are (specifically 88ish to 93-94ish) and that makes it a real fun watch if you like that kind of transition era of pop culture (which I do).
 
While the show is nothing great; I will admit but it’s fun and harmless and I would have no problem watching it again if I was in the mood for early 90s nostalgia. Plus it has some pretty likeable characters which is a huge plus in my book, I can get past silly storylines and songs for likable characters.

Having finished Tales, what do you think of it?

Yeah you would really think that she would be more of a main character in the show. However though G1 really didn’t have a main pony characters like G4 does. The closest to a Mane 6 that G1 had was Lickety-Split,Fizzy,Wind Whistler,Gusty, and arguably Shady; though she had far less speaking appearances in the show, Shady was almost always with Gusty,Wind Whistler and Fizzy.
 
That is what I recall anyway, I really need to watch G1 again now that I finally finished watching all of Tales.

Yeah, she had a nice long career of awesomeness in the UK/European-only comics (can be found at a tumblr called heckyeahponyscans. She even got one of those mirror-clone-babies, so there were two of her! Also, while a lot of characters in the comics were very different from the show, Firefly’s not, she’s the same daredevil we know and love and hangs out with her saner friend Medley.
 
What I don’t get about Firefly not being in the show more than that once is that she was in the toyline enough that you’d think she’d be the main character. She was on the shelves alongside “My Little Pony Tales,” even.

Adorable Firefly. Sucks she only really appeared in the first special in America. I mean there was a bunch of stuff in Europe but nothing else here really from what I can tell.
