Firstly, they have two pictures, so it’s far too early to see if they are only emulating a style. Second, no one else has a problem with them emulating another artists style, because it’s STILL GREAT ART. Plenty of artists here emulate others style. Downright copying a picture is one and claiming it’s your own is one thing, but doing an age up of a picture in a close style of said picture? That’s their art.  
And THIRD, here’s a quote, “if this artist has talent they should show it off by doing something original.”  
That’s you saying, “should”. Yeah, you said, “if”, but the should and the meaning you were clearly trying to convey is clear. And they clearly have talent because of this picture, I mean LOOK at it!
 
This artist does good art, what and how they draw is their business. You wanna give a suggestion? Sure! But you were telling them that what they did isn’t what they should be doing.
 
Oh, and Steven Universe is actually a fantastic show, it’s worth watching.

Please don’t make assumptions about me(I don’t watch Steven Universe or go anywhere near its fandom.) And kindly don’t put words in my mouth either.
 
I never once said this artist can’t draw what he or she wants to draw. I said if this artist wanted to actually display talent, they should try doing something original and not just try to ride to success on the coattails of others by emulating them as closely as possible. If they want to base their entire artist identity on copying someone else to the closest tee they can, they’re free to do that, but they wouldn’t be doing themselves any favors as an artist.

But since you bring it up, if this artist has talent they should show it off by doing something original. At least original ideas if the insist on copying style. Or the other way around.

Even forgetting the style these are pretty much just reboots of old RariJack daily images. They’re really unoriginal.
