Just keep practicing. The more you practice, the better you’ll get. I have a bit of a tough time drawing ponies(or any animal body type characters) mainly due to me being so used to drawing human structured body types.
Although I like EqG far better than FiM (while the movies are flawed, they still have some nice ideas and concepts which may or may not be improved), I decide to focus more on drawing ponies than humans because I always manage to draw humans pretty bad.
