i don’t know if you’re aware, but we’re putting a 5 year child in a grown man’s body that sounds like q from star trek against a guy who can deflect planet destroying lasers by punching them. what makes you think discord can handle that type of power? i mean he couldn’t beat tirek and honestly destroying a mountain is pretty pathetic compared to deflecting a planet destroying laser by punching it.

As it was mentioned already, if Discord makes himself intangible then Saitama can’t do anything. And I don’t remember Saitama being immune to reality-warping magic. One snap and Saitama doesn’t have arms anymore.

Nothing Discord does can actually hurt him, he gets angry and charges him, Discord get’s punch-bliterated..Discord being a Lord of Chaos and able to reform himself is not up to being exploded over and over again until he can no longer do so and decides to hang out with fluttershy. If he and Saitama meet again Discord and he would probably get along given the fact that Discord can make food appear on a whim.

Friendship is categorized as magic, not physical force. Its even in the show’s title.  
And its also the only kind of magic that seems to affect him.
 
Also, more than “wearing him down” I think if Discord took one of Saitama’s punches without his powers, he’d be done. But that’s exactly it. His powers don’t need to make it so he can “resist” attacks. They can make it so they don’t even exist. Or he just makes himself intangible. Or makes himself exist in a parallel dimension where Saitama can’t reach him, but he can still affect him with his magic. Of teleports them both to a dimension where you’re just a floating, disembodied head, and then proceeds to fill Saitama with chocolate milk until he explodes. Or just sends him to mexican sockpuppet dimension forever.
 
I mean, what the actual hell are we talking about here.

Rather, Saitama’s powers work more on toon-logic, since he’s a parody character. I can imagine Pinkie Pie would give him more trouble than would Discord.

The punches WOULD eventually take their toll, esp. since Discord has had trouble with dealing with Friendship, which is categorized as a physical/magical law in the Poniverse. Unless Discord actually runs away the blows will start wearing down on him, just very slowly. In other words, Saitama AND Discord will have an actual fight on their hands. Good End!
