Not much of a difference between medicating and just getting smashed with alcohol. They’re both a short-term method of coping.
Being a hypochondriac, there have been periods in my life where I was 100% sure I was going to die, so while waiting for the biopsy results I got smashed every night just to be able to not give a damn and have some fun.
Not gonna go off on a major associated psych thing, but it always seemed to me dependency vs desire.
(genealogy also plays a big role in how much you lean either way when really smashed, too)
Seroquel works for me. I’m not saying that it works for everyone, but it works for me. Sure, I get drowsy, but I see things less and I hear things less. That, at the end of the day, is all I’m really asking out of my meds.
And it’s a helluva lot better than alcohol has ever done for me. And I’d know. I’m an alcoholic.
But seriously, with that out of the way, can we just not? I’d rather not. Like, ALL of the not.
I could say the same for a lot of psychiatric medication.
It cures nothing. All it does is keep me going. Don’t confuse fuel with medication.
And even then, I’m still on the wrong path.
Oh alcohol cures ya alright. Too bad there’s the next day.
I don’t think this conversation has a happy end for either of us. Let’s just let it die.
I figure if 25proof+ alcohol can’t cure what ails ya, then there really is no cure!
Even modern free society’s greatest opponent agrees!
I’m pretty sure you know already, but whatever. It’s an anti-psychotic medication.
Brandy? Bourbon? Rum? Lager? Wine? Schnapps?
You’re insane.
And this is coming from a guy that takes Seroquel.
Aye, getting back on track. ’S a pretty bug horse.
Okay, yes, that is literally the image I’m talking about. And I’m talking about it in the interest of us getting this thread back on track, involving the majestic bughorse pictured above.
That’d be this one. You may want to turn on pagination before you look at it.
Oh, that’s right! It isn’t.
Note in videos about the final battle in nocturne it takes about 15-20 debilitates to make Vast Light and Infinite Light not instant kills, even at level 99! Damn good thing stat debuffs actually work in that game unlike in the FF line. Yeeeesh. (Most recently, they doubled down, making not only one of the largest rpg bosses ever, but also one with the most insane speed)
yeeeah…See those things on his shoulders? Those’re skyscrapers. He absorbed the entire city.
And for some inexplicable reason he gets 7 actions per turn… And he’s still not the hardest SMT boss.
Because the hero of the previous main entry (Nocturne) cameos as the bonus boss on all ps3 entries.
No dawg, your eyes aren’t deceiving you. That is a 7 part battle. Moment ya stop buffing, you die.
Stupid fucking elephant thing. What an annoying twat, every turn removing your buffs/debuffs.
(course, considering in his game dude broke then restarted the universe his troll abilities make sense)
Don’t get me started on that first one. Damn hidden superbosses.
Mark Watney disagrees.
Ain’ no firepower on the planet more overwhelming than DISCO
