That is a LOOOOOOOOOOOOT less ponies than I would expect. Seriously, the two regal Alicorn sisters died in this shot! There should be like, the entire whole of Equestria here.
@AstralFrankie
It’s a Doctor Who thing, which I thought fitting sing it’s a Doctor Whooves story. But to put it another way, both Doctor Who and Back to the Future, which I mentioned in my alt text, has meeting your future self as a possibility meaning travelling in time does not remove you from the time-line. How it works, I can’t explain, but what I do know is that within the framework of the story, that is how things seems to go with time travel.
@CocoaNut
You’re right. I AM missing it. From what you are saying, they traveled in time, witnessed all this, went back, and still allowed all this to still happen? If that’s the case, aren’t they in a time loop or some type of paradox?
If so, they forgot to invite Cadance. That’s a rather glaring oversight.
Yep :V
Yes.
As i said, that’s why i think that this funeral is attended only by invited ponies.

I have no idea what you are referring to.

Pretty sure that mare in a cloak is the “wise sage from across the ocean” Spike is talking about, not Cadence.
Wibbly wobbly timey wimey.(To use Back to the Future as a reference; When marty went to the future his future self was still there. Doctor Who time travel also seems to have the timeline ‘assume’ that you will return or something like that.)
This would mean, that, regardless of what they do here, they can’t stop those events from happening. else, there would be a serious paradox here.
You’re completely missing it. They went forward 1000 years and then, after everything going on now, they go back to not long after they left.
But isn’t that a paradox? They went forward 1000 years, yet still exist as if they never traveled in the first place?
@Background Pony #9B30
I don’t think Twilight would be too happy about it either.
Thankfully, this isn’t the show. and plus, it is shown to be a bad thing here.
They had to keep the funeral invite-only. it would be a logistical nightmare if they let anypony come there.
Kind of a random assortment of them, too.
