Slight chamge to the tags: I checked the game’s information page, and apparently their names are ‘Astrum’ and ‘Krinita’ for not-Celestia and not-Luna, respectively.

Given that it seems like this is coming from Russia, does that give it a better chance of not being c&d’d? I always got the impression that US copyrights weren’t all that strictly enforced there.

My favorite thing about this project is how it poops in the face of all these Triple F publishers. All these Indie devs who are just everyday joes and sals showing off how well they can crunch out fun and creative games without being tied by some selfish DLC loving content extorting publisher’s leash. xD

Captialism thrives on those you’re able to step on. You have something they want then you can abuse it and mark it for however much you want. But, when others can make something just as nice, they start to lose more of those people they’ve abused with their greed. What this creates is an effect of those you’ve scorned not wanting to go back to the other for as long as there is a “good enough” alternative.

Game industry is crashing hard. They force change and try to tell us what is IN and what is NOT. “Horror genre is DEAD!” “2D is DEAD!” “No one likes platforms anymore!”

And… just as all seemed lost and gamers were ready to give up… INDIES appeared with their Mine Crafts, their Binding of Isaacs, their horror games like that dude in a prison I can’t recall with zombies, and all these great 2D puzzle and platformers I can’t list.

Gaming is getting good again as a result now that these lazy minimalistic sequel churners are having their monopolies challenged, and that is a win for all.

Depends how much personal info they’ve revealed on their youtube account creation. What phone was used to verify it. If they used their own and entered their personal info, then yeah the Hasbro lawyers are likely already making calls and threats to get their personal information in order to directly send out any C&D’s.

People need to learn to get more underground. Especially given how that transatlantic thing is going to all but destroy fair use by giving more extreme control over copyrighted content to do things they can’t technically get away with now due to fair use laws which is flimsy at best.

Still, here’s hoping they continue this beautiful project.
