Polyamorous/polysexual people exist, though. There’s no evidence that he’s solely monogamous. Sure there’s no evidence he’s poly either but that’s what headcanons are for.

For the first, it’s just some idiot trying to start shit. For the second, well, yeah. He’s kinda married to a mare, obviously in love with her, and has a foal with her. :)
If I had to guess, I’d say it’s the thing with her voice when she comes into contact with poison joke.
