I made a “drawing” nothing bit but it’s something.

I’m surprised no one’s thought of Nightmare Chrysalis as a villain before either, considering they have such a similar body type and colour scheme. It’s a very good idea, though and your comic sounds like it’s going to be really awesome!
Well, my picture of the cat-Dazzlings is going okay, and hopefully should be up here soon.
If you don’t like violent content, you may want to filter the tag “grimdark”.
That 40k crossover comic I’m working on will have a few parts like that, (40k is riddled with grimdark, it is a futuristic wargame after all), but it’s also going to have plenty of epic stuff in it to. One of the main plot elements of that story is the spirit which turned Luna in to Nightmare Moon takes control of Queen Chrysalis, and makes another assault on Canterlot.
Why no one’s else thought of ‘Nightmare Chrysalis’ as a villain I don’t know.
There’s a lot more to that, including a reason Celestia and Twilight can’t help at the time.
Let’s just say, Chrysalis manages to eject the Daemon from her mind, and joins forces with the other characters to fight it. (The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Or “allies of convenience” to quote Chrysalis from the story).

Season 5 has a slightly more serious tone than previous seasons but it does have one of my most favourite episodes, The Cutie Map. I can’t wait for the finale.

Quite well actually! I uploaded a picture of Adagio as a cat today (inspired by a comment from IHateThatHedgehog) and at the moment I am carrying on with my comic, so far I have drawn Sonata looking angry (unusual for her!)
I try to watch the later seasons and the movies. I hope it stayed as sweet as it was back in the day.
Maybe I’ll try that. First I’ll make some sketches perhaps. I will see what will happen. ^^

I do agree. It would be really nice. I don’t really want to be punished for exploring art by being reminded of cupcakes or other grimderp stuff.

I made two Equestria Girls themed christmas cards this year, one with Aria that says ‘humbug’ and the other one with Principal Cinch saying ‘I expect Christmas to live up to it’s reputation’.
I hadn’t seen that. Nice find.

Although the idea of a short comic with Sonata and Aria at breakfast, hearing a scream.
“What have you done this time Sonata?” Aria sighs
“Just wanted to get Dagi in the festive mood”
Then have Adagio burst out with her hair full of decorations like that pic you posted.
Final scene have Aria and Sonata collapsing in laughter.
That part is hilarious! You just reminded me of this picture.
your current filter.I still think the best bit of that’s what Sonata says to Adagio to get her to let go.
“I’m going to sneak in to your room and put Christmas lights in your hair!”

That’s making me think of Aria and Sonata trimming up Adagio like a Christmas tree…..
Thanks for the suggestion! I have actually read most of it and although most of the humour isn’t to my taste, it is very funny at points. Yeah, I like how the author writes Sonata since I have always seen her as just as evil as her teammates but more upbeat and silly.
A comic series you…may…enjoy (if you can tolerate the adult humour running through the comic)is “A Dazzling Winter”. The writer does ship Sonata and Aria together, but it’s nearly subtle enough to be ignored there. It also gives a definite reminder that Sonata is NOT nice. Yeah, cute, ditzy, funny and likeable, but not nice.
I’m sure she looks good and the idea of including Sonata and Aria sounds great too.

Well, I did draw Adagicat last night, but I’m not too happy with it. Looks like it’s missing something to me. Thinking of doing Sonata (Sonyata is actually a tag for cat girl Sonata here), and Aria cats on either side of her. If I can be bothered.
The tagging system here’s a useful feature. Got a few things on watch. I suspect a few people have my own artist tag on watch. I can pretty much rely on certain names to appear in my faves list on an image.
Tags I’m watching include a couple of comic series. Could link to those when I’m using my laptop instead of my phone.
One’s “Birth Of Equestria” (cute, and the longest running pony comic going). The other’s “Rogue Diamond”, which features anthro version of all the characters in an alternate universe setting.
It’s a shame, because I think it’s a feature a lot of people would like.
Yeah. I wish deviantart had it too. I like to browse art but I don’t like the dark stuff in the recommendations. ^^ ’

I agree. They even seem to tolerate me so far. I may be a bit less active around here for a day or two, the fandom is a bit overwhelming for me but I put you on the watch list. nice feature.
