Oh sorry I completely forgot to reply here, no I haven’t, but a quick Google search tells me that she’s a character in the comics, I’ve read a few but I’m not too up to date with them myself to be honest, but from reading a bit about her on the Wiki she sounds really cool!

Yeah, I think that would be great to see and hear more of, I reckon they will go with having her be a supporting protagonist, I’d be happy with either approach, I just hope they have some good stuff in store for her, however frequently they decide to include her in the show.

I guess I wasn’t thinking like Starlight…I thought it was disappointing at first, but then I read some peoples’ thoughts and thought for my own too.

Peoples’ reactions to her are mixed, and while I can see both sides of the coin, I’m sure this will eventually stop like with the Twilight alicorn thing. I hope.
 
How would you like to see Starlight done? Me, I’d rather see her as a supporting protagonist, but I do want to see more of her backstory, like how she learned all that powerful magic.

It’s all good, I respect your opinion on the matter, it’s nice to hear that you enjoyed it though overall, I’m looking forward to seeing more of her too <3

Now I think about it, Starlight’s backstory and revenge plan was very similar to many backstories and revenge plans of Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz. (Which is unsurprising, given that he is parody of all generic villains. And they both like to overreact.)

Don’t worry, I like the finale now, and I think Starlight’s redemption and reasons were done well now. I now like Starlight and hope that she will develop into a great character. If they do something great like explain more of her backstory, it will make up for the rushed pacing of the finale.

One more thing I wanna say, I wasn’t completely against Starlight being redeemed, but the problem now is to me, it wasn’t done right. Her backstory unfortunately wasn’t that great, it happened too fast, felt unnatural and forced. I felt uncomfortable seeing Starlight right there in the song sequence to be honest.
 
Also the time thingy was confusing too. This finale to me was just disappointing (I’m not trying to hate, I’m just disappointed).

Tirek’s loyalty is only to himself. Regardless if Scorpan was still loyal to him, he was still planning on taking all the magic in the world anyway, and no doubt he would of backstabbed his brother in the end. If, and this is a big IF, someone can break his lust for power and domination, then there’s a slim chance he can be redeemed.

I doubt all the time in the world can redeem Tirek. He’s been in Tartarus for who knows how long and yet he still desires all the magic in the world. Willing to backstab his allies for their power, showing no mercy to both the nicest(Fluttershy) & friendliest(Pinkie Pie) ponies we know, that tells me he is well beyond redemption.

Looking back at it, I’m not against the idea of Starlight being redeemed, but unfortunately to me and others, it wasn’t done right. It felt really rushed and almost forced.

Now you’re just forcing your interpretation on her. The writers said that she did not do better and she was in denial/reluctant/suspecting magical Twilie to be capable of foul play.
 
If you want to insist that she knew and she’s pony Hitler etc. suit yourself, but that’s not the story the show told.

She also refused to believe it when she saw the evidence and persisted anyway. It was her spell she was pulled into, she knows better than anyone Twilight couldn’t just use it to trick her.
