(joking honestly, no harm meant, but sarcasm doesn’t translate well over the internet so I can’t tell if your joking or not. The concept of showing how the strongest heroes can go through hell and back and still be fight with just some scars is a trope in edgy storytelling since the dawn of time, although in the 90s it was particularly popular with every new comic and franchise during the time having to be “hardcore!!”.)

If you ask me, seeing Rainbow Dash and the others adjust as badasses in the futures, at least in the first few, even in world’s with dispair was a major part of what sold most of the episode. Twilight fighting someone which turned out to be pointless, only to give a weak ‘support group’ speech that solved everything in Starlight’s life, might not be as interesting as the Staff (or Hasbro) believes.
