I don’t think it’s necessarily reasonable to assume she would have cared about the consequences if she was aware.

Let’s also keep in mind, that while Starlight was self-taught, she also didn’t have a moral filter (or a very strong one). She learned powerful magic but remained ignorant of the consequences. That automatically makes her far more dangerous than Twilight.

it was shown that despite being one of the strongest fucking things to live he has never worked or trained a single day, ever, at all, when he does train for like a year he becomes literally over a thousand times stronger.  
kind of like that? twilight has trained and had many fights but lives the majority of her life is a fairly cushy lifestyle, train to fight and fight hard every single day and you would go up in power fast.
