If you’re curious, the game in question is the Etrian Odyssey series. Specifically, the FOE are enemies that wander around the map. Trying to kill one in a dungeon around your level is basically suicide. I don’t remember what FOE stands for (though I personally call them Fucking Overpowered Enemies).

Who’s to say that other circumstances didn’t create theis Fallout future? Kkat’s canon is but one interpretation of the events that lead to the war. Who’s to say it’s not an entirely different future in which Littlepip existed? Or perhaps the spell malfunctioned and sent them further into the future.
 
Using the fanfic canon as an excuse to criticize a time travel event when very little is offered in the way of explanations. For instance, if you want to be concise, ALL of the bad futures should have happened from the get go, thus resulting in the ashlands future. Tirek could merely have been the final cataclysm of the great war.
 
If Rainbow Dash can have a bionic wing, Equestria would surely be preparing for the worst by digging shelters. All we see are snapshots with little explanation.

Sure the time-line in the fanfic changed between season one and two (and the whole war takes place decades after the show), but who said that the effect in the episode can’t trigger the apocalyptic war early?
 
Or more importantly why let logic and details get in the way of a good joke?

[nasally voice] Fallout Equestria’s time line split off before season 2, not before the M6 met. Also, the spell would bring them back to season 5’s relative date, not 200 years into the future.
