You guys have obviously never watched Avatar: The Last Airbender. That show is much darker then even the darkest episodes of this show, and its sequel series, Legend of Korra, is even darker. Not to mention the fact that in those shows, most of the dark aspects are outright stated, whereas here the darkest stuff is mostly implied.

They are throwing pumpkins and apple pies at each other. And they are wrestling without weapons. So you see nothing but you can say it’s a ‘war’. Even the little girls know that word. The portrayal of war was quite childish.  
At the age of six we had plastic toy soldiers. Wild West, Indians, cannons, transformers, powerpuff girls, etc.
 
And what is your thought about to name the turtle Tank? What is a tank?

It’s not for kids purely based on the fact that it is a cartoon, it is a cartoon that is targeted at kids. There is a difference. Somewhere out there, though, there are people delusional enough to try and convince people FiM is not for children… those poor souls.
 
You’re not being too clear about your definition of “for” in this context.
