Well, it wasn’t a petition, exactly, just a “Hey everyone go to Hasbro’s ‘customer care/suggestions’ site and email them!” thing
I don’t know of petitions ever leading anywhere, especially these days. :P Sad.
A couple years ago, there was a petition going around asking Hasbro to make a Mystery Mint doll. Nothing came of it (but suspiciously, Sonata’s cutie mark is a similar heart and lightning bolt, and Sunny Flare’s color scheme is vaguely similar.)

I feel like getting a Mini Background Human would be more unlikely than getting a regular BH doll. These figures are molded, with unique expressions, hair, and outfits to each. Why focus on a background character when you have the Mane cast to worry about?
