I thought the pet name was the best part about this. Anyone that knows/uses Lyree is alright in my book. Odd that people don’t get on it.  
In fact, I’d like more pet name comics from this artist. I’m particular to Ponk and Bonnie for example please. :)

Hey, no problem. I also said below that Lyree being a pet name isn’t something I expect many people to pick up on as it stems from an inside thing.  
As for the “a”/“u” thing, good to know that was a joke. Hard to tell; Poe’s Law and stuff. :P

Oh, and I didn’t look down in the comments about how Lyree is sopposed to be a pet name. Becuase I was being ignorant. Becuase There was no reason to take everything in. But I started this, and I even admit it’s going to far.

I was joking. You know. I don’t even truly care. Why should I? But in “safety” the “a” is cut off from the top. What I wanted was for some one the tell me that so I could tell them I was joking ad then get the “Yeah right!” resonse. But instead I got this.

Admittedly, my handwriting isn’t the best. I can see where you’re coming from, friend. However, that’s about where it stops short. You’re the only person who’s managed to apparently completely mistake that “a” in “safety” for a “u,” thus I must assume as far as common comprehension and legibility is concerned, “safety” is not misspelled in the slightest.  
Also, that says “Lyree”- quite clearly what I intended it to say. A pet name based on a play of the name “Lyra” in case you missed that. No mistakes there either!
 
In short, your sarcastic statement about my spelling is denied. Sorry!

But the artist misspelled safety too.

Indeed, I was biased into thinking that the “Ly” at the start would be enough to get the implication across. Regardless, as is mentioned on DeviantART, I’m totally cool however people want to perceive it, be it about changelings, evil twins, or incredibly rude accusations of a misspelling. :P

That’s the problem with “inside” things: kinda lost on all of us who are outside. I guess it’s a good pet name, but anything other than a simple name-shortening needs some context to avoid head-scratching.
 
Other than that, this is perfect! And I can imagine Lyra not knowing if this is a good or bad thing as it’s going on…

It’s a super cute pet name, though I’m obviously not privy to the joke. Knowing it is a pet name really adds to the image for me (not that I didn’t like it already).

It is intended to be a pet name! But any explanation’s totally cool with me. I’m pretty bad with dialogue; it’s just there because Lyra being tied up in the corner needed some context.  
The pet name “Lyree” is a bit of an inside joke I thought would be easier to pick up on. :P

Pffft, I didn’t even notice that! Though it could be a genuine mistake by the artist, I somewhat doubt it. The DeviantArt descriptions says to ‘fill in … the blanks with your imagination’, so I suppose it could be a nickname (or pet name)? Or maybe it’s NOT Lyra? The plot thickens!
 
Maybe this is what happened in Amending Fences, since Larson (jokingly) mentioned Lyra being in ‘protective custody’. :P
